The movie looks totally metropolitan.
The wave of freshness is taking its toll on Mollywood. The way the trailer is, reminded me of some serious innovations in Bollywood like Love sex aur dhokha, Dev D, Shaitaan, Udaan etc. I meant in terms of execution k.

first of all i am new to this blog and read the whole blog and it was surely a great read. just like in your interviews u sound very modest and more than reading ur writing it felt like i was listening to u speaking…ive seen movie malarvadi arts club and as a first reaction thought it was an ok movie…after reading this blog where u virtually take us through the toil and hardships u went through (for that matter everyone making a movie goes through), now i think i’d think again before outrightly critisicing any movie or work of art. Also i thoroughly enjoyed watching TRAFFIC and it was a refreshing change from the movies we have been seeing so far.
Regarding this post, the trailer is awesome and it sure induces interest in the viewer to watch it as the treatment sure looks good…reading the comments and watching the trailer of 21 grams i think sameer hasn’t followed ur principle of “originality” which is previously mentioned in this blog…:) but i think the problem is that the average malayalee’s reach has been widened quite far and filmmakers shouldn’t underestimate them.
All said and done, I thoroughly enjoyed watching COCKTAIL which was an almost scene by scene adaptation of the english movie ‘Butterfly on the Wheel’. Although the dialogues were literal translations of the english original, it was a good attempt to make it in our language, in a way one of us would talk-that also deserves some credit. Also this is just a trailer and the film’s quality shouldn’t be judged at this stage i think. Whenever there is an adaptation I try to watch both the versions-some turn out terrible but some turn out beautiful complete with a few additions from the new makers which enhance it. Cocktail is an example. So I am waiting to watch Chappa Kurishu which looks extremely interesting to me without any prejudices.
So all the best for this movie and the many more to come.

After the movie Traffic malayalam film is on the move of some spine thrilling scripts….But most of them not made an impact as Traffic…may ‘Chappa Kurish’ be an exception and we are in need of good movies….Mammookkaa’s August 15 , The Train……Lalettan’s Christian brothers and China town…..not upto the levels……Trailer looks surely promising…..Good look chetta….All waiting for our movie….

i just wanted to know why malayalam film shooting is bounded to chennai nd kochi only. Even the northern parts cud be a best part to shoot at.. the best example is the superhit movie “RAJNEETI”…..short at bhopal…nd the best one.. ”PEEPLI LIVE” nd also the upcoming one AARAKSHAN..i think even the audience is fed up with d same locations(stereotype)..so somwere in d near future ,shud visit BHOPAL(M.P).nd u ll not be disappointed..even a great pouplation of malayalees live here…
