This is one film I am extremely curious to see how audience would react. The director, the cinematographer and so many other people working in this film are debutants. For the first time in a film set, I am seeing so many people who are less than 30 years of age. All of them know that they are dealing with a very different yet risky subject. But the director, Sameer C Thahir [cinematographer of BigB, Daddy Cool] and his team are ready to take up the challenge and work towards something which I think is totally new.
If this movie works the way it is intended to, an era of independent cinema is not very far.

So there is no point in discussing this topic of “Chappa Kurishu”
at all.
Also one more point i need to make for vineeth. Below 30 or above 30
does’nt matter its the passion of an individual which creates good
cinema. There are lot of examples in Hollywood who became better with
age, I am not coming to that but defenitely i need to comment on malayalam
director “Renjith” , the one who did good experiment in mallu cinema
and a list of his 90′ movies and recent movies like thirakkatha,kayyoppu,
palerimanikyam, pranjiyettan, kerala cafe etc tells how well he changed himself.
We also have kamal , siby malayil 2 legends who are not experimenting
and once if they start doing something different it will be a worth watch.
There is nothing to be curious of chappa kurishu, if “poochakkoru mookkuthi”
can price legends like priyadarshan, mohanlal , sreenivasan who became valuable
by age , “Chappa Kurishu” team just need to take this as a start to look forward for
coming 10 to 15 years.

But not pls dont forget he is the one who started supernatural hero films like “Ravana prabhu” ( feudal madambi or street madambi)films and we lost a genuine actor – mohalal. cloning of ottapalam madambi films kept away family viewers from theatre and the theatre filled with fans of superstars.

Am Manu Backer,i was waiting to watch ur new movie chappa kurish.i saw it its a good movie i like it.but in the sense of makeing box offices hit am thinking its an average movie.what happend it lost the pace,but it has a good story.it can be told in a much better manner,and in a thrilleing way,but it lost that spped of thriller portion in it.more over you and fasil’s son did a good job,but sammer thahir must be carefull about this project.

Saw the movie, though a take on of the Korean movie Handphone, very brilliantly adapted to our scenario. The casting of Fahad and Vineeth in their respective roles is brilliant, with both of them doing their job just perfectly. Both of them look very fresh and have done absolute justice to their characters. Ramya needs special mention for having enacted the role with all the boldness it requires. Technically a film shot on 7D unbelievable quality and good shot selections and scene progressions are superb. The last action seen shows the dedication of the actors and hardwork of the entire crew. Shooting on real locations candidly had added to be beauty of the scenes. Without any doubt Chappa Kurishu is definitely a trend setter and lets pray that this era of independent film stays and takes malayalam to another golden era. Gud going.. cheers

Lemme put what i took away from the movie – 1) What am ‘I’ (my image) as seen by the world has a lot of impact on my future; 2) I should get out of my own shell and think from other peoples perspective to make the world a better place!
