reply to a comment i received in my last post

this is a comment i received from a person called Jijo for my last post :-

“Good to hear that.. i have a request .. PLEASE DINT COPY OR IMITATE ANY HINDI MOVIE SONGS OR MOVIES LIKE YOUR DID IN MALARVAADI CLIMAX. ROCK ON WAS A COMPLETE DIFFERENT GENRE AND INCORPORATING THAT TO MALARVAADI WASNT A GOOD IDEA. so with this next work of yours, please be original and try to sing in one or two songs in your film. better if you sang only one song. singing in everything makes your sound boring to us. so please preserve that uniqueness of your sound by limiting the number of songs in your movies at least.”

truely genuine concerns u ve jijo.. that’s y i thought i owe u an explanation.. when i was writing the final draft of malarvaadi, i definitely knew the climax song situation was similar to that of Rock On. but the more i was trying to change it, the more artificial and fabricated it was appearing. of course i knew that people are going to blame me for this resemblance. but i had to do justice to my subject. every other way, this was not happening. it definitely was not a compromise to go with it. it was the best choice i had.
talking about “Originality,” i would like to quote something one of the most acclaimed film dirs’ of malayalam cinema once told me personally. [can’t tell his name though]
Originality is ‘how u hide ur source!!!’
we use the word originality way too much.. it’s totally over rated. i don’t believe in that word though i myself would ve used it at times, like any other person. art is always inspired from something or the other. it might be from people u meet, travelling u do, books u read, movies u watch… ur life itself. i believe only the extent of inspiration can determine whether it’s a copy or not.. again, this is relative.. when 3 idiots was made, chetan bhagat believed it’s completely his novel and its details. but raj kumar hirani believed, it’s their own and they ve just taken elements from chetan’s book. i would go with raj kumar hirani coz i ve read the novel and seen the film. in my opinion, the novel of course was entertaining, but the movie was enlightening!! that’s y i said, these views are all relative.
my film is definitely not going to be inspired from any particular scene of any film intentionally. but there are a lot of inspirations from life this time, more than malarvaadi.
u r not going to see anything that u have not heard about, or been through, or seen in love stories so far. even my film will ve all those classic cliches that u ve come across a million times. only the angle of thought or the approach towards the subject ll be different.. and i am praying that u like that difference.. if u like it,apparently u ll enjoy it.. i can’t imagine what ll happen otherwise.. it obviously scares me.
but about my singing, i am surely going to take ur opinion seriously.🙂 too much of my singing ll definitely bore people. this time, i ll limit myself to just one!! incase my music dir insists, max.. 2!!! that’s my word to u jijo.
Thanks again for ur genuine concerns. I know ur views are not show offs.. thank u everyone else for showing so much interest in my film. I think I should quit checking my blog while I am writing my script. Expectations are most literally scaring me!!

vineeth.. who else??

    Hi Vineeth,
It was so nice of you to post a write up like this for a feedback you have received.

Ofcourse, we don’t expect you to reinvent love stories. The way people tell their story is different, that is why different directors makes different movies, even though most of them originates from the same thread.

Just because someone told you originality means hiding the sources! Please just don’t follow that! Be innovative! We are all sure that you will come up with fantastic narration of a simple love story, which we are looking forward to watch.

Good luck and good to hear that you will sing only one song! I’m excited about that as well!

    1. I just think you should go ahead and make the movie the way it is forming in your mind. That in itself is originality. And we all learn from our mistakes. so no worries. Do relax. I think it would be better if you stop checking the blog while you are writing the script as it mite hinder your writing and your ideas. i think you should have at least 2 or 3 beautiful(since its a love story) songs in the movie. incorporating a sort of fusion or mix of different musical instruments in the songs or background score would be good as well.well i have not tried this, so this is purely just my imagination. but i think it would be something different n interesting. For Example: tabala, cello, irishflute, classical guitar. And that plus indian violin. basically a sort of fusion of different instruments from around the world. some of these irishmusical groups mite give you a better idea – Gráda, Matt Malloy, Millish, Danú. Since these are purely western stuff.
This kind of music + tabala or other indian instruments.

but for now all the best with completing the script.
    good luck🙂

    Vineethetta,

I had seen the comment by Mr.Jijo.In a interview to a channel(Kairali T.V) you told that films like Dil chatha Hai,Rock on etc had “inspired” me.Mr.Jijo might have seen this interview and a made an unfortunate “pre judgement”.Actually in literature or film is nothing is “ORIGINAL”.The originality or novelity is actually the capability or skill of Director,Script writer, camera man,art director etc.

I am a Film Student.I passed a Diploma course in film making from Chethana Institute,Thrissur.I can prove this WITH AN EXAMPLE.

Last year one of biggest hits in malayalam cinema was a Mohanlal movie “SHIKKAR”.The film was directed by Mr.Padmakumar and scripted by Mr.Suresh Babu. Was this story a ‘New one’?.No…A big No.We had seen several movies with same story line.(Eg Natturajavu,Rasikkan etc). But the film “Shikkar” was a big commercial hit because the audience felt an orginality or novelity due to different location, scripiting tatics, songs, telugana background etc.It is definitely the talent or skill of Director and script writer etc for selecting a new Location.

I am challenging Mr.Jijo…..Can you suggest a better climax to “Malarvadi Arts Club” that is 100% “ORIGINAL”.

      hi biju..

read your reply to my post. i wanna make two things clear. i HAVENT seen any malarvaadi promo interviews by vineeth ettan or the team. and second, i didnt blame the climax being bad n all. I said, watching a movie shouldnt remind you of any other movie. AS YOU SAID ABOUT SHIKKAR, yes. thats another revenge story. but watching that movie , none would have felt the similiarity in scenes of any other movie. THATS WHAT I MEANT. malarvaadi climax scene would instantly remind the audience of the movie ROCK ON ( those who have seen it of course). when one movie or a scene is inspired , it should be made such a way that audience wont be reminded of the source. HIDING THE SOURCE is the real ability of a film maker if his work is an inspired one.

The challenge n all. i am no great film maker n all.

I AM THE ‘AUDIENCE’ FOR WHOM FILM MAKERS MAKES MOVIES. SO JUST POINTED OUT THE THINGS I DIDNT LIKE ABOUT IT.

ALL THE BEST TO YOU. YOU ARE GPOING TO BE A FILM MAKER IS WHAT I LEARNT FROM THE COMMENT THAT YOU VE GIVEN.( chethana course )

      hi again…

being a film student, you might be knowing.. from which movie is TRAFFIC inspired from??? i would love to know and watch that source film..
      waiting..

      • March 22, 2011 at 5:42 pm

i think TRAFFIC is inspired not from another movie, but on a real-life incident that happened in Chennai. A boy, son of two doctors, got killed in a bike accident. if my memory doesnt betray me, his name is Hithendran.

as in the movie, his heart dint have to reach a child heart-patient within 2 hours. they had just 40 minutes. and the driver sped across the traffic (controlld under the city polic commisioner) nd reached the destination in just 11 minutes.

Traffic is inspired from 21 Grams

        Nevertheless, Traffic was made brilliantly

    Well…
Its really nice to see that u read all the comments…and reply…but was there a need of writing a new blog for it…you could have just replied to him.. anyway ur explanation is perfect…whoever it said “originality is how you hide your source” brilliant… dnt stop reading our blogs… i think it should boost your confidence …it shows thr a lots of people to support you..we had the same expectation during the time of malarvadi… and u safeguard our expectations… so we are confident you il do it this time as well…its in your blood nd you proved it once…

    All the best////

‘I think I should quit checking my blog while I am writing my script. Expectations are most literally scaring me!! vineeth.. who else??’

Be positive in thinking. The same thought you had in your mind regarding the Malarvadi climax, there is no need to think more about such comments. Accept only the best ones from the readers’ comments.

    Go on blogging….. Good Luck..

I think the quote about originality goes like this – “The secret to creativity is knowing how to hide your sources.”
It was said by the Great Albert Einstein. Looks like your ‘mentor director’ copied even that😉
    No hard feelings though bro….Cheers!!!

Originality does not come with story, it comes with how the story is told. Novelists often talk of getting one flash of an idea in their head, and then adding in details as fast as they can to materialize that idea. The same novelists also say, that by the time they finish their writing, the finished work never matches the beauty and sophistication of that initial flash of the idea. How a story is told has to evolve from within one’s own head, and if the finished product bears resemblances to previous work, it’s a coincidence.

All you really need to worry about is how true you can be to that initial idea in your head. Everything else in writing is pretty much irrelevant.

On an unconnected note, one of the comments seem to be from an ex-student of Chethana Institute, Thrissur, which I’m trying to get into. So please pass me ur number…

hi vini, its good that u concern about the feedback that u gets…yes..many people told that “Malarvaadi” is copied from DCH and Rock ON..but idk y they said so…its way different from DCH n yes similar to Rock On in the end…but thats the perfect climax for that story..and about your new project jst be genuine to your subject.as u said “even my film will ve all those classic cliches that u ve come across a million times.”,it happens….for example Gautham Menon’s VTV is a simple love story which came a million time in movies…but the way he told that story was stylish and interesting..so dont be tensed…be happy..and i m sure u ll make it as a memorable one like “MALARVAADI”…..all the best….:)

dear vineeth i sent one mail to your gmail id, which is personal, here m telling about the film, according to a new director and malarvadi is ur first film, nobody in the malayalam industry had the dare to do such a wonderfull film with a new face when it is his first film…still experianced directors are fearing to take film with new faces, but u did it…and the climax… if it is need for the film no need to worry…its not copying…thats the climax of the film…if you changed the climax which will not digest for the people… as a nw face in the film direction u done a great job… some mistakes will be their..which u can understand from the release day itself… this is my small openion if u r taking a love story ur location must b romantic…i mean u have to concentrate in camera work and location…

ANYBODY WHO WANTS A CHANCE IN VINEETH’S NEW FILM, READ THIS.

ANYBODY WHO WANTS A CHANCE IN VINEETH’S NEW FILM, READ THIS.

“PEOPLE OF ACCOMPLISHMENT RARELY SAT BACK AND LET THINGS HAPPEN TO THEM. THEY WENT OUT AND HAPPENED TO THINGS.”
    said by some thoughtful person.

the only thing that angers me on reading vineethsreenivasan.wordpress.com are the naive comments dat say:

“vineethettaaaa, i act pretty well. acting is my life. its my passion. its my blood. {ALL SUCH MAANGA THENGA}. pls giv me a chance in your next film. {JUST ORU HERO AAYAAL ENKILUM MADHI}. my phone number is 989683298744981. my email id is njanthanne@ilovevineethettan.com.”

i really dont understand what ppl think of themselves. WE want to act in a director’s movie and WE expect him to contact us without just providng any info abt us. atleast a bio data! at least a piece of tape having our acting skills. isn’t it a director’s mminimum right to know what the potential actor in us is capable of doing? ithonnum illaathe ‘chance thaa vinethetta chance thaaayo, njan nadikarthilakam aan’ enn parayunnadhil endh artham aan dear friends.

nobody has become an actor sitting in the easy-chair and typing ‘acting requests’ to directors.
and WE think that’s effort? how naive! we think we are great actors, we are capable. maybe true. but as long as we dont prove it, how can we ask for chances? now some may say ‘prove cheyyan alle cinemayil chance chodhikkane?’.. to them, ‘sorry, namukkoke prove cheyyan vendi aan producermaar panam irakki padam pidikkanadh enn arinjillaato..’

cinema isnt the only way to prove ur actng skills.there are million innovativ ways we can let a director be knwledged of our credentials and den we can ask wid confidence in our eys and strength in our voice, “can you give me an opportunity?”

thinking can happen in the armchair, but doing can happen only on the feet. lets also go and happen to things rather than waiting for things to happen to us.

    mazin

come on man, take criticisms with some positivity.

      • March 22, 2011 at 5:52 pm

i have never told that i can make a movie. did i?

see brother, lets not use somebody else’s blog to establish our statements. ur criticism cud hav been suggestive. then it does acquire the dimensions of sometthing ‘positive’.

you r obviously more knowledgd in this field than me as u r a film student. my acquaintance with movies are just thru theatres and tvs. dats it. so making a movie with the climax writtn by you, would be better with u on the director’s seat na.

brother, i mean nothing offensive. no hard feelings.

    Hi Vineeth,

It must be none other than Priyadarshan who gave you that bit of advice on originality. Not hard to guess though lol.

Hey vineeth, no hard feelings bro, but your malarvady club was a total disaster. It was all based on the old age malayalam movie concept”communication gap”. Your movie was missing all the fun and pranks that could have been created with your club members.

You were just lucky if your producer made money on fact that it was marketed properly and the pure expectation of the people that the movie was directed by a legend’s son.

Sorry to be so blunt but I had no other way to put it more mildly.

Hope to watch a better movie from you.

    Cheers

    Dear Vineeth,

There is nothing to worry…..Go ahead with your script. We are sure this film will hit the 100 th day…I completely agree with ur opinion “art is always inspired from something or the other”. You will be able to see this inspiration in most of the art forms …like kadhakali,kuthu,drama……..Now a days, it is very easy to identify the similarity in scenes ..That is not at all a concern. Beginning from the scratch will only happen in few times.
Its only depends on the way you write and making the movie based on this script. Even when we you take the hit film “Traffic”. The formula was same. They also written the story based on a real time incident that happened in the year 2008.but they made the script it in a unique manner and Mr Rakesh Pillai given his life to the film. We are sure your future Endeavour will change the taste of love story…hope it will be a good experience to the audience. There is nothing to worry with the imitation or co incidence …that will happen always.

I forget to tell you about me. I am Sreejith, semi finalist of the Mammoty Best actor Award. Currently I am writing this blog from Bangalore and working here as an IT Manager. But I am passionate to acting and films. Vineeth,I have a personal request, I already sent my profile and photos to you to get one opening in your film. I have sent the same to your workshop id in gmail before 4 months .Kindly find the same and would request you to give an opportunity in your film. Thank you and All the very best for your Script!

    Thanks ‘n’ Regards

Good to hear that.. i have a request .. PLEASE DINT COPY OR IMITATE ANY HINDI MOVIE SONGS OR MOVIES LIKE YOUR DID IN MALARVAADI CLIMAX. ROCK ON WAS A COMPLETE DIFFERENT GENRE AND INCORPORATING THAT TO MALARVAADI WASNT A GOOD IDEA. soi with this next work of yours, please be original and try to sing in one or two songs in your film. better if you sang only one song. singing in everything makes your sound boring to us. so please preseve that uniquenees of your sound by limiting the number of songs iun your movies at least.

PLEASE DINT COPY OR IMITATE ANY HINDI MOVIE SONGS > Which MOVIE SONG was imitated?
ROCK ON WAS A COMPLETE DIFFERENT GENRE > Which genre is that?
INCORPORATING THAT TO MALARVAADI WASNT A GOOD IDEA > MY GOD!!

better if you sang only one song > We had a genuine reason to do so n since this comment had a lil bit to do with me too,it wudn be polite to just sit n read this n let vineeth take the whole responsibility. While the composing was going on,we used to record the songs in my home-studio b4 goin in fr the actual recording. Recording inside a studio n recording at home are 2 different things n produce 2 different outputs or results. I’l gv you an example. When the composing n writing of the song Kaathu Kaathu was over,i did a rough recording of it from home just to lisn to it agn n agn on my walkman n to chek wethr the packaging is ok. Thats wer the problem begins. U lisn to it a million times to make sure its rite n it grows on you. And wen i reached the studio at chennai to (properly)record it,i just cudn reproduce the tone or the modulation in which i sang at home. So we had to clean up the voice track that i sang frm home (it had a lot of disturbances like birds chirpin n stuff!!). That is the exact same situation with Vineeth. Ofcourse,he could reproduce the same (or even better) tone n modulation inside a studio. Vineeth n myself sat together during all the composing n lyric writing sessions n wen we’re done with it,we record ruf tracks only fr refrnce n to make other singers sing it once we reach the studio. We lisn to the ruf track a million times n it actually GROWS like hell on you. Im sure musicians would know wat im talkin about. N trust me,you wudn wana swap his voice fr anyone. We did try,its not like we never tried. Same case with the lyrics. Vineeth wanted someone else to write songs fr the film. He wud write lines that wud suit the tune n the situation initially only to swap it with lyrics from a proper lyrics writer before goin for the actual recordings but it grows on you so much that swapping lines like “Maanyamaha janangale” with ANYTHN was like sounding odd. You guys try it out urselves!🙂 It wasnt Vineeth’s decision to sing most of the songs in Malarvaadi,it was mine. Cuz no other singer gave me wat vineeth did. Why? cuz plainly speaking,it was his heart that he was singing. The 5 characters of Malarvaadi had to go through him first before they came to entertain you with their simple story of friendship. N ofcourse, they were born inside him in the first place. When Vineeth sang fr these guys,it was magic. I dint care about the fact that Vineeth is singing most of the songs, ppl will get bored or Bla bla bla (vineeth was concerned but not me). Fr me,its one song at a time n the way Vineeth gave life to each of it with his voice,no one else could.
Im glad he took the responsibility to answer the comment without avoiding it (he cudve dun it easily). Ofcourse we hav a few ppl saying that the movie is a bullcrap movie, major disaster, waste of time, expected more n wat not. But we also have a whole major set of ppl who loved it,watched it fr like 5 or 6 times, made it run like above 130 days. Last we heard , Moserbear is setting up their next set of DVDs n VCDs cuz all the released copies wer sold out in no time. I don think “marketing” alone wud do such wonders as a friend above commented. N not only that,in my personal opinion, the film wsnt marketed properly. May be it never needed any marketing🙂 If the film is bad,no hogus bogus,”out of the world”,”geting in n out of tv channels” marketing wud save it. Wud run hardly 2 weeks. Dfntly wont cross the century mark like we did🙂 N i seriously don get this thing bout “Pure expectation of the people that the movie was directed by a legend’s son.” Will the fact that his surname being Sreenivasan, give an extra day at the theatr if the film is bad????!!!! Will it earn another award for him?? I just don get it friends. Achande peril makkalkku chilappo chila sthalathu joli kodukkum. Pakshe joli maryaadikku cheythillengil vechu poruppikkuo?? Achan aaraanengilum?? Why do you want to put the burden called “Expectation” on someone to disturb their creativity. We’ve seen the same things happening in families wer the parents ‘expect’ their kids to be gud in grades, better than their classmates, better than their own siblings. I cant believe today’s generation is thinking like this. Should i say “GROW UP” ? No,even those words sounds kiddish.

He’s been singing fr like years, gave you songs like Ende khalbile , Karale , Palavattam . . . Acted in 3 movies with very touching characters in the last two , directed a Super Hit film n writing his next. . . And its all for you… the people who love him…N wat he needs is a prayer . . .

      wow. superb, shaan bhai.

how can it be ever true that a singer singing on and on in films can make people bored? for decades, we have been hearing the voices of Yesudas ji, Lata ji, Chithra chechi. and most of their songs are of the sam genre. but will any music-lover ever get fed up of hearing them. still, music lovers are thronging to have their soul-stirrng rendering go deep in their ears. of course, they are legends. maybe the ‘singer vineeth sreenivasan’ would not have grown up to that extent. but then too, he can never ever bore people.

all the best for your new ventures brother.

I too agree with what jijo wrote in his comment, and vineeth got the point also, that’s the spirit and I think thats why he is there where he is now.

MOVIE GENRE OF ROCK ON > musical

copying the scenes wasnt a good idea > yes it wasnt.

The more Vineeth ettan limits his number of songs , the better.

Hi guys, when i was watching india versus england match i hate the way sachin batted.
he started of slowly , took more balls , most of my roomies including me started talking bad
about sachin. but to surprises he made up his scoring rate by hitting 5 sixes and scoring hundread. later when i was watching wasim akram comment about sachin’s innings , he commented
since wicket was bit slow he paced his innings and played most difficult loafted shots.
he has the talent to shift his gear.

I think vineeth is one among those person who can shift his gear.
you should’nt had responded to any comment ,your film should have been the reply.
Shaan rehman is another talentful person , i feel your reply was bit long , could have
    avoided.

    HI,

I am from Pune watch a lot of Hindi and english movies, but malayalam are to a rare extent if some play at mutiplixes here and if ur lucky u can watch it thats because hardly it stays for a week anyways was lucky to see traffic because it stayed for almost 3 weeks.
I have seen Rock on and recently seen Malarvaadi Arts Club both concepts are way ahead different, talking abt the last scene pls dont jump to a conclusion that its inspired or completed a rock on, i disagree. Vineeth u made a great film and that to as ur first directorial venture, hats off way to go. While watching Malarvaadi Arts Club i was totally with movie and it ever dragged to me to ROCk on or reminded me abt it. Anyways everybody has their opinions, appreciate vineeth genuine explanation to it.
Great Job Malarvaadi Arts Club and team.

Malarwadi was just a predictable movie,it did’nt had anything

    Dear Shaan Rahman,

I read your elaborative comment that shared moral responsibility for everything that Vineeth has done in Malarvaadi. I certainly agree with you that Vineeth cannot be blamed for singing all songs in the movie because its the music director who is the best judge of his song and would know best who is suited to sing it. We all have appreciated Coffee@MG Road where Vineeth has sang all the songs. So there is no reason to feel bored just because he sang all the song. Agree with you on this.

But coming to the point of the movie, I think your comments are a bit over the top. To ask critcs to GROW UP shows the kiddish side of you. A good artist takes criticism positively even if he does not agree to it. I am sure Vineeth would have taken it that way. There is no reason for you to step into his shoes and justify what he has done. It is a fact that Malarvadi is not a new concept. Jijo is completely justified in asking Vineeth to be more original. Malarvadi is just another time pass movie. If Jijo expects Vineeth to be more original and not stick to the cliches, then there is nothing wrong with it. Even Vineeth’s father Mr. Sreenivasan once advised Roshan Andrews (though in jest) to direct only 10 movies in his lifetime. The reason for that is obvious. He expects only quality movies only Roshan Andrews and not usual timepass stuff which any director can make. Jijo’s was a similar request to Vineeth. He has the talent to make unique stuff. He showed that with his music videos which he directed. Unfortunately, Malarvadi does not fall in that category. Its an amalgamation of Friends, Dil Chahta Hai and Rock On.

So Mr. Shaan, if your friend has sang Ente Khalbile, acted in two touching movies or directed the so called superhit Malarvadi, it does not mean he is immune to expectations. You are not the representative of the new generation to advise others to grow up. Kindly devote your energy to making better music than writing such thngs and then saying “Kodukkendathu kodukkendathu pole kodukkendaduthu koduthillengil pinne endaanu Muji oru sukham”. So you better grow up!

Bro! It was the way you responded that did not seem rite to me. At times we have to agree to disagree. I am an admirer of your music, loved the songs of Coffee@MG Road & Malarwadi. So I was a bit disappointed with the way you responded to a criticism. AR. Rahman never responded harshly when few people said ‘Jai Ho’ was not song to deserved an Oscar. He surely wouldn’t have agreed to those comments, but took it in his stride as personal views of some who loved his songs and expected better.

And if Muji is your friend, then pick up a phone and speak to him instead of posting your personal reply to him on a public forum.

Cheers bro! I loved coffee & malarwaadi, but I am expecting better and better music from you.. Vineeth and you are blessed with wonderful talent… best wishes and prayers to you both in life…

Anyways, lets clear the air a lil bit,k. Enuf of stretchin ths topic, don u think? Sugu, We’ve bin hearin comments like this even b4 the film started shootin (so u can imagine how many times we’ve heard it till now.). Vineeth himself told the media that he was inspired by the films DCH,Rock On,Friends(series). N ppl r usin the same things agnst him. We hv critics who say “The movie was inspired from certain films but Vineeth has made it clear in the beginning itelf”. Then we hv critics who say Vineeth took a malayalam Rock On. Ther r ppl who say it was under Sreeni uncle’s supervision that he wrote the script. But the truth was,Sreeni uncle wsnt even ther in the country at that time. The list goes on. I knw the entire truth n thats y im talkin. Its as if Out Of The Blue we’ve got a lot of enemies just by announcing the film. But hey,one year n its been one hell of a ride fr all of us. We’re happy with how the film turned out. Thank you for loving our songs. Hope we can bring out a lot more. Keep the support n prayers coming in bro😀

but shaan should’nt had converted it as an argument.
it was really surprising to see shaan responding this way,
seeing shaan through media i had a respect and salute for shaan’s
attitude , a person with great caliber and calm attitude who should
be the inspiration for youngsters should never post such comments.
    again its my personal opinion.

I am a great fan of vineeth sreenivasan and shaan rehman for two

Seby first of all you should know whether you have talent
or whether you are running in a fantasy. See some senior directors
like Shafy , LalJose , Renjith and their comments will give you
the answer. If their comments are positive try hard to make an entry
you can succeed. If they reacts negetively try for a job and at the same
time improve the weak areas and try after some time.

There are lots of youths trying to become
a part of cinema and becoming nothing.

I will tell you the example of a kannada actor named vijay.
He never had the look of a hero , initially he went for chances
every one rejected him. He is black with below average looks.
What he did was took a break, joined a local gym and made 8 packs.
He went for chances and directors started seeing something in him
which can attain mass attraction. Finally he got a chance in a movie
called “Duniya” which was mind blowing and Ran 100 days in most centers.

“Talent with hard work takes you anywhere”

I’m living in a village near to kottiyoor in kannur district.so,it’s little bit difficult for me to contact senior directors in film industry.
If any body can HELP me to CONTACT them it will be a blessing for me..

        Hello Seby,
If you need to make an entry you should be ready to take
the challenges and struggles. You cannot say you are staying in a village
so it restricts you in contacting directors. You have to go to
movie sets , try to meet them at their home, call them its all a
        part of the race.
Today you make a struggle and enter the industry tomorrow

    Yesterday i saw christian borthers.
it is a masala movie for fans with no story.
Mohanlal lacks screen chemistry with lakshmi rai as lover boy🙂
Mohanlal lacks screen chemistry with laksmhi gopalaswami as sweet brother🙂

Overall lalettan looks dull and some people are simply cheering
i really feel from heart they are bored with him. Lalettan should
either stop acting or start doing aged characters.

Suresh gopi as usual as a cop and he does what he is being
    doing for years, poor guy🙂

This time also dileep has done a good job, he walks around
his comfortable zone in the movie, with comdey, romance and
    some lady sentimence.

Sarathkumar was like a cream over spoiled cake ,
short role , no use for him. fans got a time to cheer
as the BGM was good when his appears on screen.

    Suraj is struggling.

The difference in Uday-Siby script is they have used GPS tracking
system in one scene for lalettan to track villain suresh krishna🙂
rest all scenes are repeated ones which we have seen in many uday-siby
    movies.

Joshi as usual does a good job.

I personally feel 20/20 was a better commercial masala movie.
But again CB is a time pass.

Once there was a generation which saw eminent actors like Sri.Adoor Bhasi,Naseer sir,Satyan sir etc.
then came this generation which gave us Lalettan,Mammookka,Innocent,Jagathy sir etc.the fact is that these individuals have not replaced their peers, they have established their own identity.
Same way, there will also be a new generation, where I pray to establish my identity. Not as a super star but as a good actor…

Never expected that you wil reply to my comment . I am very Happy. And just when i tried to reply did i notice that there has been lots of comments made on what i said. OMG!! anyways, i didnt mean any showoffs or anything . i have replied and commented before also to your posts.

2 songs in an album is the best that you can give the audience bro. you have a very unique voice and i love it since KASAVINTAY song. Expecting to hear your voice with SHAAN ikka’s brilliant music for your upcoming venture.

And about the movie, i dont want to see 100% original movies. When we go in and watch them we shouldnt feel ‘ we’ve been here before ‘ : the different approach, exactly as you said, the different approach is what i was suggesting.

Thanks vineeth etta for the concern that you ve shown towards my comment. I’ll remember your word ( 2 SONGS🙂 ) and would continue suggesting. APOLOGIES if i have offended you or annoyed you ( SHAAN ikka seems so , thats why ) .

And yes, its better to stay away from the blog till you finish your scripting chettaaa. ‘Shutting down the unwanted inputs’.

    GOOD LUCK!!!!

I would have to disagree with whoever that said originality means to hide the source. Tarantino references so many films in his films, and he talks about that publicly. Yet from his influences he makes some thing unique from out of it. It’s just a matter of being creative, with whatever genres and movies one has liked – with those influences one creates something else that is derived from a source or sources but yet retains a uniqueness. Inception has the label of being one of the “original” or “fresh” films of last year. But basically when you look at it more closely, its essentially a heist film. Most heist films have a team robbing a bank, casino, or some thing else that’s valuable. In this one, the team goes into the mind.

    hey vineethetta…
im reading ur blog for the first time and was not very curious at first as ive read many celebrity blogs which lacked the originality… im not a writer or a movie maker.. i just see movies very seriously and im a big fan of ur personality.. so i thought even if u read this or not ill put some of my views here..
malaravadi is a movie that i enjoyed even though its not a new concept altogether.. its not originality that i seek in a movie but the feeling when i finish watchin a movie.. when i take back the feelings of the characters from theatre i believe that movie is a success.. as u said expectations wer a lot from this first movie of urs which was a very normal movie.. but i believe these normal movies are the necesity of malayalam movie industry now .. to bring back families to the theaters.. Its really gud to c films for the youth(for a change) in malayalam cinema…
this new movie poster of chappa kurish is what that made me find this blog.. best of luck vineethetta… keep up the gud work.. and i love ur voice.. keep singing gud songs.. i have more to write about ur songs but not in this one coz its already pretty big.. keep goin..
    thanku for reading…😛
